The Art of Negotiation Skills Workshop

“Our mother is the best negotiator in the world”, that was one of the quotes said by Ms. Shimaditya Nuraeni while delivering the one day workshop of “The Art of Negotiation Skills”. This event was held on Monday, January 23, 2017 in Tokong Nanas building of Telkom University from 09.00-13.00.

Around 35 students from various major of International Class joined this event. The students gained some insights and knowledge as well as practice about several topics such as approaches in negotiation, seven elements of negotiation, level of communication, non-verbal communication, role play and negotiation tactics.

They were also invited to fill out a self assessment and informed about what type of negotiators they are (turtle, shark, owl, fox or bear). Additionally, they had enough time to practice negotiation by playing roles, one to be seller and the other to be buyer in a buying and selling house context.

All in all, the students as participants were really enjoying the sessions. Some of the students even said that he wanted more workshops like this.
