PROFILE

The Undergraduate of Informatics Program is one of the best Study Programs at Telkom University. The program is nationally accredited by BAN PT for May 5, 2021, to March 31, 2026. In the QS Stars ranking system, Telkom University has reached 5 starts in Specialist Criteria: Computer Science & Information Systems. Moreover, the Computer Science subject is ranked 4 in Indonesia based on Times Higher Education ranking 2022. Also, the program is already Internationally Accredited by IABEE “General Accreditation”, dated March 18, 2021.   

 The program has a vision: toward an undergraduate study program that obtains a national and international reputation in education, research, and innovative community service in the field of informatics, especially intelligent systems. There are some missions the program has that are:  

  1.  Organizing undergraduate education programs with international standards for the field of Informatics. Informatics scientific field that is the focus is smart systems;   
  1.  Carrying out research in the context of developing science and technology for smart systems;   
  1.  Participating in providing services to the public and professional community in the field of Informatics, especially communities that are relevant to the development of intelligent machines and systems;   
  1.  Collaborating with industry, government, and alumni in order to develop entrepreneurship in the Informatics field or other fields relevant to Informatics.  

There are three concentrations in the Undergraduate program of Informatics at Telkom University, that are:  

  1.  Advanced Artificial Intelligence  
  1.  Internet of Things  
  1.  Modeling and Simulation  

Based on their chosen concentration, students must take at least one course from elective track 1 and one course from elective track 2 as :

Professional in Informatics Engineering Area.  Professionals in the field of Informatics who will pursue their careers from staff level to higher levels, both in companies and other forms of organization  
&
Professionals who become freelancers and ready to be recruited at any time by anyone in a project or program-based job. 
System analyst and intelligence systems developer:  – Business Intelligence analyst  – Competitive intelligence analyst  Software developer (analysis, design, coding, testing)  System analyst and data developer engineering:  – Database administrators   - Database specialist   - Data analyst  UI/UX engineer  Network engineer  Information security engineer  IT consultant   IT forensics investigator  
Entrepreneurs in Informatics Area  Entrepreneurs in the field of informatics will use their creativity and innovation abilities to build independent businesses or create jobs for others.  IT consultant (software house, start-up).  
Academics in Informatics Area  Academics in the Informatics Engineering area will focus to become lecturers or researchers in various higher education and research institutions.  Academics (lecturer assistant, laboratory assistant)  Research and Development staff (researcher assistant)
