School of Electrical Engineering

The Faculty of Electrical Engineering was established in conjunction with the establishment of the STT Telkom in 1990, which at that time was named the Department of Electrical Engineering, and has 2 (two) Study programs namely the S1 Telecommunications Engineering Study Program and D3 Telecommunications Engineering. Based on Minister of Education and Culture Decree No. 027/01991, May 30, 1991 both Study Programs were given Registered status. In 2007, the Department of Electrical Engineering changed its name to the Department of Electrical Engineering. Along with the changing status of the Institution from Telkom College of Technology to Telkom Institute of Technology on November 27, 2007. Furthermore, along with the addition of study programs within the Department of Electrical Engineering, on February 1, 2009 the Department of Electrical Engineering changed its status to become the Faculty of Electrical and Communication. The Faculty has 4 study programs: S1 Telecommunications Engineering Study Program, S1 Electrical Engineering Study Program, S1 Computer Engineering Study Program, D3 Telecommunications Engineering Study Program. In the transition period of the merger of 4 institutions owned by the Telkom Education Foundation to become Telkom University, the Faculty of Electrical and Communication was changed back to the Department of Electrical Engineering, which became part of the Faculty of Engineering. Besides the Department of Electrical Engineering, the Department of Science is also part of the Faculty of Engineering. which is part of the Faculty of Engineering.

Initially, the S1 Physics Engineering Study Program was accommodated within the Faculty of Science through Telkom Education Foundation Decree number 20 / SDM-02 / YPT 2009 on January 30, 2009 concerning Organizational Structure and Governance of the Telkom Institute of Technology. Along with the change of the Telkom Institute of Technology into Telkom University along with 3 (three) other tertiary institutions under the Telkom Education Foundation, the S1 Physics Engineering Study Program is under the Department of Science at the Faculty of Engineering,
