“Women Leadership in the Crisis Situation”

Wednesday (09/15/21). International Class, Telkom University successfully held Leader’s Talk Episode 26 webinar event in September 2021, titled “Women Leadership in the Crisis Situation” This workshop invited a great speaker named : Yenni M. Djajalaksana, Director at PT. Unity Brands Indonesia, Women-only Fitness Clubs (Curves Brand), Bandung. Business Consultant and Trainer at BizMaxima, and Vice Dean in Academic Affairs, Information Technology Faculty, Maranatha Christian University.

This webinar begins with the “Glass Cliff” Phenomenon, then the speaker explains Women Leaders During Crisis, March – June 2020 454 men & 366 women were assessed Extraordinary Leader 360-degree assessment Women were rated significantly more positively than men. Women were rated as more effective leaders (t-Value 2,926, Sig. 0.004). and showed the webinar participants about the graphic data “Women were rated as more effective leaders before and during the crisis.

The webinar was even more interesting because the speaker gave an important point about “How to be Authentic Women Leaders?”

The presentation closed with a quote about women from – Sherly Sandberg, COO of Facebook – who said “Every woman I know especially the senior ones, has been called too aggressive at work. We know in gender blind studies that men are more aggressive in their offices than women. We know that. Yet we’re busy telling all the women that they’re too aggressive. That’s the issue.

46 participants were attended and joined the first session till the end seriously. Our guest speakers have successfully inspired all participants to become active.
